Description
The Calico CoolKrome coating is a low temperature cure ceramic coating. Ceramic coatings are designed to protect steel, stainless steel and non-metallic substrates. This coating is formulated to withstand temperatures of 1650°F without flaking from the substrate, however, coating will lose its luster and color if exposed above 1250°F. This coating is suited for high temperature components like exhaust systems and other components in close proximity to high temperatures. This coating maintains excellent adhesion properties through repeated thermal cycling while providing corrosion resistant characteristics to most and no reaction to repeated thermal shock.

Process
CT-23 metallic ceramic coating is applied as a wet spray process. Different surface preparatory methods appropriate for the substrates will be used before the coating process. Can be applied to both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates.
Advantages
Provides good thermal barrier protection. Resistant to thermal shock. Can be polished to chrome like finish.
